Evidence is Available!

Unlike the information hub, the Evidence used to create this article is available at the bottom of this article.

1: Witch Hunt

The Information Hub (TIH) frequently issues blacklists against users without providing publicly observable, ironclad evidence to justify their claims. A primary example of this is the case of Loona Buckzo. TIH leadership remains insistent that Loona was responsible for an incident involving the user Springlolbit whose group was deleted by FTTristan and MXL.

Information missing!

The information on why FTTristan and MXL deleted Springlolbit's group will be provided in another blacklist, A link will be provided in this spot when it is available.

Despite both FTTristan and MXL repeatedly taking full, independent responsibility and clarifying that Loona had no involvement or knowledge of their actions, TIH has instead chosen to increase the severity of Loona's blacklist entry. This demonstrates a policy of "Guilt by Association", where an individual is punished for the actions of others. As FTTristan stated regarding his own autonomy: "Loona is not my mother or my guardian, she does not control me or anything I do." Moderation that punishes one user for the independent choices of another is a violation of VRChat Community Guidelines and VRCBand's Guideline of Acceptable Group Polices and Staff Rights (VRCBand Guidelines).

2: Harassment

Staff members of The Information Hub (TIH), specifically Jesty, have been documented engaging in persistent and aggressive verbal attacks against users including MXL, Loona Buckzo, and FTTristan. This misconduct includes targeted insults directed at the subjects' personal lives and family situations.

Most critically, TIH staff have repeatedly mocked the distress of these users and have told multiple individuals (Including Minors) to commit self-harm acts including telling them to commit suicide.  Such behavior is not only a severe violation of the VRChat Community Guidelines and the VRCBand Guidelines; but also demonstrates a reckless disregard for the gravity of suicide. By weaponizing self-harm rhetoric, the staff have created a dangerous and toxic environment that actively undermines the safety they claim to provide.

3: Abuse of Power

The Information Hub (TIH) leadership, specifically THE WATCHER, utilizes administrative tools as a means of intimidation rather than community safety. Staff have been documented threatening "collective punishment," most notably when THE WATCHER stated that if a target did not comply with a private demand, every user friended by that target would be summarily removed from the server.

Furthermore, the group's "ticket system" is frequently weaponized to move disputes out of public view. Once in a private ticket, staff have been observed using the lack of public oversight to bully users, ignore evidence, and threaten bans if the user attempts to defend themselves. This use of authority to suppress dissent and enforce personal vendettas is a direct violation of the VRCBand Guidelines regarding fair treatment and professional staff conduct.

4: Improper Moderation

TIH staff consistently fail to follow objective investigative procedures, often ignoring verifiable evidence in favor of unsubstantiated hearsay. In a documented instance, staff dismissed a verifiable physical alibi (photographic proof with timestamps of a trip to the San Diego Zoo) and Discord bot logs showing a user was offline during an alleged incident.

Instead of acknowledging this observable proof, TIH leadership claimed to rely on "anonymous verbal reports" and "classified" information that they refused to share with the accused. This refusal to conduct transparent investigations, combined with the dismissal of ironclad alibis, demonstrates a fundamental failure to uphold the standards of neutral, evidence-based moderation required by the VRCBand Guidelines and The VRChat Community Guidelines.

5: Hate Speech and Ableism

Evidence reveals a systemic culture of hate speech within the TIH moderation team. Both Jesty and THE WATCHER have been documented using ableist slurs (specifically the "R-slur") to belittle members and dismiss valid inquiries. This language is not used in isolation but is a recurring tool utilized by staff to assert dominance over the community.

The use of derogatory language by individuals in positions of power creates a discriminatory environment and constitutes a clear violation of the VRCBand Guidelines and The VRChat Community Guidelines. A moderation team that utilizes slurs as a primary communication method cannot be considered a legitimate or safe authority within the VRChat community.

6: Psychological Manipulation (Gaslighting)

The Information Hub leadership employs psychological manipulation to deflect accountability for their own documented misconduct. Staff members frequently characterize the group as a "safe space" while simultaneously engaging in behaviors (such as mocking mental health distress and consistently telling users to commit suicide) that directly contradict that claim.

By claiming to "protect" users while actively verbally abusing them, and by blaming the victims for the group’s resulting poor reputation, the staff engages in systemic gaslighting. This manipulation is designed to make users question the validity of their own experiences and is a predatory tactic that actively undermines the safety and transparency of the VRChat community.

7: Fake/Fabricated/Fraudulent Evidence

There are significant concerns regarding the integrity of the "files" maintained by TIH. Leadership has presented screenshots as "evidence" of misconduct that have been identified as faked, AI-generated, or taken entirely out of context. When these discrepancies are pointed out by users (supported by logs and physical alibis) staff refuses to investigate the possibility of forgery.

The willingness of TIH to utilize potentially fraudulent materials to justify a permanent blacklist indicates that the group is more interested in maintaining a narrative than discovering the truth. Using unverified or manufactured evidence to destroy a user's reputation is a malicious act that violates all recognized standards of community moderation.

Overall, The Information Hub has repeatedly demonstrated Unsafe, Hateful, and Discriminatory Conduct that is in clear violation of not only VRCBand’s Guidelines but also VRChat’s Community Guidelines and Discord’s Terms of Service.

The evidence presented throughout this report illustrates that TIH does not function as a legitimate safety resource or a professional moderation team. Instead, it operates as a high-risk entity that utilizes its platform to carry out personal vendettas, engage in systemic verbal abuse, and enforce arbitrary rules through intimidation.

Due to the documented patterns of power abuse, harassment, and the systemic use of discriminatory language, we advise all VRChat users, group owners, and server administrators to exercise extreme caution when interacting with The Information Hub (TIH).

Legitimate community safety is built on the pillars of transparency, evidence, and respect (values that the leadership of TIH has consistently failed to uphold). By operating through intimidation and relying on unverified or fabricated materials, this group has demonstrated that its primary objective is the exercise of control rather than the protection of the community.

The continued presence of The Information Hub as a self-proclaimed "safety resource" poses a direct threat to community integrity. Their actions undermine the vital work being done by legitimate organizations to protect users across the platform. At VRCBand, we remain committed to a standard of moderation that is fair, observable, and grounded in fact.

VRCBand officially designates The Information Hub as a High-Risk entity. We recommend that community leaders sever ties with TIH to protect their members from verbal abuse and arbitrary blacklisting.
